I'm back...

...or at least that is how these first few days in Singapore have felt. Since we've arrived at the hotel, I haven't been able to shake a feeling of familiarity. While the sights and sounds are new there is an underlying sentiment of having already been here, which is weird because we've never been to Singapore before.

But we have traveled to Southeast Asia many times (I lived in Thailand for a year) and we do have a few years of living in Japan under our travel belts. There is a certain buzz going on in Asia. A buzz of things happening, a buzz of development, a buzz of new starts, a buzz of economics, a buzz of what's current. Here, walking around Singapore, I guess I feel like we are back in the buzz.
